These are vintage Mid Century Industrial Library School Steel Bookends 9"x6" Black.
2 of these are marked Highsmith. THEY ARE SIMILAR TO ONE ANOTHER BUT NOT EXACT MATCHES because one has the cork bottom still, one has the remains of a foam bottom, one is matte and 2 are gloss finish.
One has a pre-drilled hole made by manufacturer, perhaps for hanging or mounting.
